Alternative is adjective.
Alternet is a verb.
We can't use 2 verbs so I use an adjective.

But why shouldn't it can be another? Because if there is no alternative then it means it is definitely to find a another way.

It should be alternate. Alternate means something or someone that serves in place of other. You can't choose the other option.
Alternative means there is a second option, however the other option can also be picked up. Refer to the internet for the differences.
