I think this sequence seems correct from my point of view.
"It was to be the last expedition which was due to start in a month's before their school examination". However its lacking logic either it should be "in few months" or "in a month".
Why it was "month's" ?

Why it was "month's" ?

I think "month's" is an error in the question. Replacing it with "month" would clear up the confusion and D, B would stand out as the correct answer.

B is the correct option because the sentence remains incomplete due to the structure presented in option C.

I think option B will b appropriate. How can month's be placed at the end of the sentence?

I strongly believe option B is the correct answer or else the sentence itself is wrong.

Here, "in a month's" is incorrect. So, B should be the correct answer.

Option B would be the right one. How can month's come in last?
