In questions below, each passage consist of six sentences. The first and sixth sentence are given in the begining. The middle four sentences in each have been removed and jumbled up. These are labelled as P, Q, R and S. Find out the proper order for the four sentences.

S1: But how does a new word get into the dictionary?
P : When a new dictionary is being edited, a lexicographer collects all the alphabetically arranged citation slips for a particular word.
Q : The dictionary makers notice it and make a note of it on a citation slip.
R : The moment new word is coined, it usually enter the spoken language.
S : The word then passes from the realm of hearing to the realm of writing.
S6: He sorts them according to their grammatical function, and carefully writes a definition.

I agree with you @Avisek. The answer must be option D.

The answer must be D. Because it does not make sense why the lexicographer first arrange the citation slips and then the dictionary makers make a note of citation slips. Its absurd.

As everyone seems to be saying, the answer must be D and not D.

Proof :- S says - The realm goes on from hearing to writing.

Which simply means the word is heard first and then written.
