History is a whole atmosphere which is related to past events and activities of past kings and their societies, so ancient living societies are studied in history. Archaeology is the study of dead things not live. Then how can it be the study of ancient socities?

Anthropology is right because the study of society refers as anthropology. But the study of past history through the clues like caves rocks these come under Archaeology. So A is the correct option.
