Forever will give the meaning of permanent. But the meaning of the question would be "Govind has left his country for good" here "for good" means for somthing happening. So answer can be "for better opportunities".

For good here good means something about good thing so answer must be "For better opportunities".

It knocks me! both answers are correct. But my opinion is For good means he wants to get away from bad and make it as good as possible for better opportunities.
