Staying aloof from others because one thinks one is superior.

Synonyms: Conceited, proud, arrogant, haughty, condescending, disdainful, patronizing, snobbish, etc.

It's a spelling mistake. It should be "struck up". If someone is stuck up it means someone who thinks they are above everyone else.
