@Sonali.
That's a vague explanation. How can the son become an orphan if the father donates everything and won't own anything? The son would then become "poor", not "orphan".
Orphan means to not have parents. It's not that the father would have died after donating money.

His son succeeded in convincing him not to donate his "entire wealth" to an orphanage.
*Father wanted to donate "everything" first.
*His son convinced him not to donate "everything" (but few).
Logically B is right. And what does C means ?

What does this means. Is it even valid logically ? With great efforts his son succeeded in convincing him not to donate his entire wealth to an orphanage and make an orphan of himself ?
Seems lame to me. Any ideas or explanation ?

"And make an orphan of himself" means if his father would have given all the wealth to the orphanage, he himself would be at the verge of becoming poor, hence an orphan.

C is d and. The explanation is that if father donates his entire wealth in an orphanage then the son will become an orphan because his father won't own anything.

Option A is correct.
Because if his son succeeded to not to donate his entire wealth then.
Why would he donate his home?

'B' is correct option. I had gone through last years placement papers and found d answer to be "B".

The answer should be either A or B, B being more logical. Answer can't be C at any cost.
