Behind is more flexible than from my back so we are using option D.

Indeed Back and Behind indicate the same meaning but in both the sentence "Behind" is much closer to the object then 'Back".

Why not option B is correct? I think the word "son" is required to complete the sentence.

D Option is correct because when an interrogative sentence is asking for yes or no answers from the person's point of view, in that case, we also use the conjunction if.
