The right answer in this case is flatter.

Criticize is a near-synonym of belittle, Exaggerate is overstating something, Adore is liking, but Flatter is to think highly of someone.

So, the answer is flatter unless the given word in a sentence indicates otherwise.

Flatter: to make excessive/insincere praise.
Belittle: to make sb/sth seem unimportant or inferior.

Jack had wanted to belittle Rose because of her choices, but instead, when he saw her, he ended up flattering her choices to gain her favour.

I think exaggerate is the right answer. Because belittle means to show something very small. And opposite of that is exaggerate means overstatement of something. Adore means simply you like something very much.

You can exaggerate something in a negative way (which still means belittling something).

Adore is praising something or showing how wowed you are for what you see.

Here exaggerate is right choice because it means overstatement of something. And belittle means very short statement of an event.

Exaggerate is correct.

Belittle = undervalue, think as unimportant.

Exaggerate = overvalue, think as too important.

Exaggerate also means to represent something as worse than it really is. Adore might be the correct choice.
