The word able can take both prefixes un and dis, so why not disable?

@Sisay Abdissa.
For example, consider the sentences.
" he is able to do his homework ".
Opposite : " he is unable to do his homework".
Incase, if disable is used, "he is disable to do his homework". As this is a wrong sentence. And also "disable" is commonly used incases Of work that cannot be done at all.
So, 'Unable' is the correct antonym of 'able'.

Disable is also the right choice.
