Lend shows that something is (temporarily) given to another person. Borrow shows that something is (temporarily) taken from another person.
Example:
I lent $10 to Jeff.
I borrowed $10 from Jeff.
Example:
I lent $10 to Jeff.
I borrowed $10 from Jeff.

No yaar ! "Lend" is totally opposite of "Borrow" because "Lend" means you are giving something to someone temporarily and "Borrow" means you are taking something temporarily.
