A miter line offers a convenient method of laying out a third view while you are in the process of drawing two views. Suppose we draw front and top view and we have to draw left view.
Then we draw projection lines and and 45 degree line in another quadrant opposite to front view quadrant. That 45 degree line is known as miter line.
