Placement Papers - TCS

Hi guys,

Here are my interview and aptitude test experiences for TCS. I am from an Electrical background and got selected in TCS for EIS and IOT stream.

From this year TCS changed its aptitude exam format as given below.

Sections    -     Questions -  Time
1) Email writing  -  1    -     10 min
2) Aptitude    -   20     -    40 min
3) Technical MCQ - 10    -     20 min
   (only on C)
4) C program   -  1     -     20 min

Interview:

There are three interviews.

1) Technical(TR).
2) Management (MR).
3) HR.

Usually, TR and MR rounds are combined in one panel whereas HR held separately.

In my case all rounds were combined, therefore I have faced only one panel.

Q. Tell me about yourself.
Q. Tell me about your family.
Q. Explain your last project.
Q. Draw the block diagram of your project.
Q. What is amplitude, period?
Now he switched to C.
Q. What is Pointer?
Q. What is Structure?
Q. Write any program using Pointer.

=>MR

What will you do if your boss is biased and always give credit to your colleague irrespective of your work?
(Only one question from MR) I think I answered it very well.

=>HR

Q. Why TCS?
Q. You mentioned you have leadership qualities, Explain it.
(She then asked about HAM Radio as I mentioned it as my Technical hobby).
And that\'s it.

Results were declared next day evening. Out of 31 from our college 28 got placed and I was 5th.
