Hello TCS Aspirants,

I am going to share my TCS off campus drive interview experience. Round 1 was held on 2nd December, 2015 and the test center is same as filled by you during submitting your application form.

Round 1 comprised of Aptitude Test which was sub categorized into two parts.

a) Verbal Analytic Test.

b) Quantitative Analytic Test.

In Verbal section, we were asked to write an email, they provide certain phrases which is to be used in the email [Do not miss any of the phrase in writing your email]. Time allocated is 10 minutes for Verbal Analytic section, after 10 minutes you are automatically redirected to Quantitative Section, so do remember to save your email. For Quantitative Section be prepared to solve some questions on Probability, Linear Equations, Work Time, Height and Distance, etc. refer IndiaBix, R.S. Aggarwal for getting through this test.

The results of the aptitude test was declared within a week of test. And I was delighted to get a mail stating that I have cleared the first round, now it was time for Face to Face Interview. I was called at TCS Gandhinagar on 10th December for Interviews.

There were three rounds of Face to Face interview.

1) Technical Interview.

2) Managerial Interview.

3) HR Interview.

The interview started by grouping of candidates in a group of 5. There were around 5 panels of interviewers, mine was an easy one.

Questions asked during TR.

Interviewer : Good Morning, Please have a seat.
Me : Greeted and settled down.

Interviewer : Tell me something about yourself.
Me : (The tricky part is here, start introducing yourself with confidence, remember first impression is last impression) Told.

Interviewer : Tell me about your project.
Me : Told.

Interviewer : Some questions on my project. (They try to confuse you but you have to tackle that since you are now few steps away from your dream job)
Me : Told and explained nicely, both the interviewers were happy.

Interviewer : Some basic concepts of C and OOPS.
Me : Told every answer except one. Don't panic it's not the end if you are unable to answer any question. If you don't know any answer then don't try to bluff them you will be caught red handed.

Interviewer : Do you know about Cloud Computing?
Me : Told yes. So some questions on Cloud Computing was asked.

Interviewer : Ok, Adarsh we are done with our questions. Please wait for results. All the best.
Me : Thank You sir.

The results were announced within half an hour and I was called for MR.

Questions asked during MR.

Interviewer : Good Morning, Please have a seat.
Me : Greeted with a smile.

Interviewer : Tell me something about yourself.
Me : Told.

Interviewer : Why should we hire you?
Me : Just be yourself and be confident enough to show your enthusiasm about working for the organization.

Interviewer : Why only TCS?
Me : Told.

Interviewer : Most of the other questions were from my resume.
Me : Told and explained nicely, both the interviewers were happy.

Since I started my hobby as website designing, some questions were like,

- How does Amazon work? (Basically they tried to ask question on Cloud Computing)

- Which are the basic elements used for designing websites?

- How to attract audience on your website?

Interviewer : Ok Adarsh, I'm done with my questions. Would you like to ask me something?
Me : Asked few questions. Do ask one or two questions, Don't ask many questions. Show your willingness to and confidence level.

I was then asked to wait for the results in the waiting room and my name was called for HR Round. I was super excited as I was so close to get my dream job. If you are through the TR and manage to survive MR than 90% you are in [Off Campus drives are exception as many of my friends were rejected from HR Round].

Questions asked in HR Round.

Interviewer : Good Morning Adarsh.
Me : Good Morning sir with a smile.

Interviewer : How are you?
Me : I am fine. Thank you. How are you sir?

Interviewer : I am fine. How was the day?
Me : Start of the day is awesome.

General HR questions like,

- Why TCS.

- Tell me something about yourself.

- What should be quality of Computer Engineer?

- What do you think is the most important aspect in IT?

- Ready for relocation?

Some questions were asked on current affairs as I was discussing technology and new policies of government with great interest.

Interviewer : Ok Adarsh, it was wonderful talking to you.
Me : Same here sir.

Interviewer : We will notify you if you are selected. You can leave for the day.
Me : Thank you sir. Bye.

My interview was completed in 1:30 - 2 hours but many others were still waiting for their turn.

On 24th December I got mail from TCS, and I was selected. I was so happy to be placed in best IT firm of our country.

Thank you. All the very best.
