Tata Consultancy Services - Hyderabad, December 18, 2015
I am graduated in Electrical and Electronics. Here is my interview experience with TCS (prepared for the test from November 20th).
I had taken the TCS off campus test on December 2nd 2015, I had attempted only 14 questions out of 30, but I attempted one star mark question. But I was hopeless about my test as I attempted only 14 questions. But surprisingly on December 7th 2015 I had got a mail regarding the result. The result is "you have successfully cleared the test".
That was really awesome. From that day I started preparing for the interview. On December 8th I got my TR and MR interview date that was on 17th DEC at Vardhaman College of Engineering, Shamshabad.
My slot was at 2 pm, but I reached there early and was waiting for my turn in the allotted room. As I reached there early they sent me to the interview panel at 12 pm. Later I entered into the interview panel, there were two interviewers one is for TR and another one for MR.
My TR & MR interview started like this:
Me: Good afternoon Sir.
TR and MR: Good afternoon take your seat.
Me: Thank you sir.

MR: Ok, good.
TR: Ok, do you have any questions?
Me: On what job roles are we going to work on?
TR: Do you have any idea?
Me: Yes sir, as I heard that we will be working on it's or it services, in it's we will be working on Cloud computing, DevOps, VSTPS, etc.
TR: How do you know all these, do you have any friends or relatives in TCS?
Me: No sir, I have gone through TCS campus commune, it helped me to know about these.
TR: Ok, what is cloud computing?
Me: As I already know about CC, I explained him what I knew.
TR: Good are you interested in ITIS?
Me: Yes sir, I am.
TR: Ok, I will recommend you to this profile.
Me: Thank you sir.
TR: Ok all the best.
Me: Thank you sir, thank you for interviewing me.
After 20 minutes they announced the shortlisted candidates to The HR round, I forgot to say I belong panel 1, there were 30 panels (as there were 3000 students). They started announcing the shortlisted candidates names, the first name is mine as I belong to panel 1. They said to come on next day for the HR interview. I was very happy and on the same day we got a mail on the same to attend for the next round ie.. HR interview and after that you have to leave and the results will be announced after 23rd December.
Next day HR interview:
Out of 3000 members only 520 members were shortlisted to the HR round:
There were 10 panels 52 members in each panel and my panel number was 1 and sequence number was 17.
when my turn came I entered into the HR panel: This time the interviewer is a lady. While entering into the room, I took a long breath and opened the door and,
Me: May I come in Mam?
HR: Yes, come in.
Me: Good morning Mam. (with a smile)
HR: Good morning, take your seat.
Me: Thank you Mam.
HR: Brief about yourself.
Me: Started telling about my self. HR interrupted me in the middle and
HR: Why do you want to join TCS?
Me: I am passionate about learning new things and I want to gain experience.
HR: Oh, after gaining experience will you leave TCS?
Me: No Mam, TCS has given me opportunity to start my career, I never want to leave TCS and I want to have long term career with TCS.
HR: Ok, are you from EEE right?
Me: Yes Mam.
HR: What is diode?
Me: Told about its uses and applications.
HR: What is lenz law?
HR: What is fleming's right hand rule. (again same question from TR)

Me: C is platform dependent and Java is platform independent.

HR: Thank you, you are hired (with smile).
Me: I was shocked, that moment. I got a big smile and wished her whole heartedly I said thank you Mam, thank you so much (she just gave a smile).
On December 24th evening I got the offer letter that little part of my life is called success.
I am really very thankful to TCS.
Note: Those who want to crack TCS test go through,

Wish you all the very best for the TCS job aspirants hope my experience will help you.
