Please keep it in your mind that, "If you will fail to clear the aptitude test, your technical knowledge will be of no use, no matter how much or how less technical knowledge you have." So, be careful while preparing for aptitude.

Campusgate is really a very helpful site for TCS aptitude preparation. You will get a complete overview of TCS aptitude papers and about the level of difficulties.

Secondly, brush up your technical knowledge well ahead the day of interview. For technical preparation I will recommend JAVA, C, Data Structure, DBMS these are most important for TCS interview. And for optional subjects you may also go for C++, OS.

Thirdly, please only put those things in your resume, you are well aware of. Don't lie or try to show off please. Otherwise you will be the ultimate victim at the end of the day.

And last but not the least, Be confident and have faith in yourself. That's the ultimate key of success. :).

Now come to my HR+Interview experience:-

There was a panel of three interviewers, and my interview was Technical+HR combined.

Me: "May I come in sir?"
They: "Yes, Aman please come in, take your seat". (they knew my name previously as we have to submit our resumes previously).

Me: "Thank you sir, good afternoon". (with a smile).

They: "Tell me something about yourself that you not mentioned in your resume".
Me: Started to describe myself. (while they were then looking at my resume).

They:  "So, Aman cooking is your hobby?"
Me: "Yes Sir, I love to cook".

They:  "Hmm, great. So tell me what kind of dishes you can cook."
Me: "Sir I'm still learning about new recipes, but I can cook chicken curry, rice, dal, fish curry". (One of them was looking interested).

They: Okkk, "Tell me about your family".
Me: Started to describe my family.

They: "Oo your brother is on high post in our competitor company, Great.
So you are comfortable with C and JAVA right?" (as I mentioned them as programming language).
Me: I again great them with Thanx, and then say yes sir I am comfortable with these.

They: You had done 2 projects on Advanced JAVA right, and you also have knowledge about struts and hibernate.
Me: Yes sir. (with a smile).

They: Describe different edition's of Java.
Me: Told.

They: One of them pick up his mobile and ask me to tell that which edition is used in this mobile.
Me: Micro Edition.

They: What is hibernate?
Me: Told.

They: What is MVC ?
Me: Told.

They: Draw architecture of MVC.
Me: I draw that but after that I manipulate them by saying that I had used this all in my project.

They: OK, define your 1st project that you had done.
Me: Told.

They: Define database of this project.
Me: Told.

They: OK, define your 2nd project.
Me: Told.

They: Define database of this project.
Me: Told.

They: OK, define your college project.
Me: I just told them the outlines of college project.

They: Good (They seems to be happy), What is RDBMS?
Me: Told.

They: Difference b/w DBMS & RDBMS.
Me: Told.

They: What is trigger ?
Me: Told.

They: What is Transaction ?
Me: Told.

They: What is Zombie ?
Me: Told.

They: (Again they come on project) What is Struts 2 ?
Me: Told them but not confidently. Then I told them sir my mentor didn't define this, they only teach us that how to implement this.

They: Then they say this is the main problem of training institutes. OK!
Me: But sir I will try my best to learn these all basic thing asap.

They: Good, What is linked list.
Me: Told.

They: What is Hashing ?
Me: Told.

They: Write a query which works in RDBMS but not in DBMS.
Me: Told.

They: "Do you want to relocate?"
Me: "Yes Sir. I have no issues in this".

They: Will you work for TCS if we tell you to work alone in night shift for 2 months.
Me: Why not sir, As I told you that I love to do my work so in working hours I don't care where I am.

They: Will you work for TCS if we tell you to repair defective laptops of TCS?
Me: Sure sir, as I read about this company this is the one of the best company which cares about his employee.

They: You have any pending backlogs, Y?
Me: Sir actually I am not getting anything in that paper so..But I will try my best to clear it in this semester.

They: Hope so. (With little smile).

After that they told me that they are done with me.

I thanked them and after that I did handshake with them and leave the interview room.

My interview was started nearly at 6:00 pm and continued till 6:25 pm.

After a long wait, finally TCS declared final list of selected candidates at 09:00 pm.
I was on cloud 9, while they declared my name. That is the best day of my life till now.

Total 28 were selected from our college in which there are 21 students are from top 5.
So, only 7 are selected from 173 and I am one in that.

Please have a positive attitude and body language. Never let them know that you are nervous and panicked. Unless you will be fired. And don't forget to KEEP SMILING and to make EYE CONTACT with them. It really helps a lot.

Enjoy the interview.
