TCS Interview Experience - IEM Kolkata, 27th August, 2015
It was a two-day process. On 1st day, Only Aptitude test & Email writing Happened. There were 547 students appeared in the TCS campus drive. Out of that 547 students, 20 students were directly selected for the Technical + HR round because they had good rank in CodeVita which is conducted by TCS every year. The students with career average marks above 75% were asked to attend Tech + HR together directly after completing email writing. Others have to go through online aptitude test and email writing. I had given both the aptitude test and email writing. Aptitude test result comes out at 10 PM on that night. 481 students were called for the Tech + HR round which started from the 28th August 2015.
I was called in for the interview at 12:20 PM. Two people were sitting in that Panel where I was called for the interview. I went in and after I wished them Good Afternoon, they start taking my interview.

TI1 : Tell me a Challenging situation where you overcame from a lot of difficulties?
Me : Told them.
TI1 asked TI2 if he had anything to ask for and he says it's ok. He had nothing to ask more.
Then TI1 turned towards me and after shaking hands said : Ok Suprio It was nice to talk to you.
Me (with a pleasant smile) : Thank you Sir thank you very much.
After my technical interview I was waiting for my turn for HR interview. At around 3:10 they called me for HR and in our panel there were 20 students and only one interviewer. At the very first he told us that it wouldn't be a Customary HR round but more of a interactive discussion forum. Then the HR was asking the students questions from their CV's and asked others to give their views on his/her answer. Surprisingly the HR didn't ask me any questions and asked all of us to leave.
When I came back from HR round I came to know that they were calling many students for 2-3 times for interview. So I didn't go home and waited if they were going to call me once again. At mid-night around 12:20 AM they have announced the list of students those how have finished all the interview rounds and my name was there. On the next day they had taken interview of the remaining students. And the results were announced at around 10 PM on the 3rd day of the drive there were 414 students selected in TCS campus drive and I was one of them.
I am very happy to get selected in TCS.
Guyz just remain confident and keep believing yourself that's enough :) :).
