Placement Papers - TCS

Hi All, I attended TCS interview as a fresher.There were four rounds in the process.

First round is on-line based screening test which includes aptitude(Quantitative) section and an Email writing(verbal) section.

Second, Third and Fourth rounds would be Technical(T.R), Managerial (M.R), and HR Rounds.
Sometimes it could be the combination of TR and MR, sometimes it could be the combination of MR and HR also.

For me it was TR+MR together.There were two members in the interview panel. As soon as I entered the room I wished the panel and they asked me to sit. One of them asked my resume and the other person asked me to explain my mini project, I Explained.

My TR+MR Questions:

1) Explain the concept of inheritance and encapsulation in java using an example.

2) What do you mean by exceptions, what are the advantages of exceptions in object oriented programming?

3) Explain first Normal Form in DBMS?

4) What is java database connectivity ?

5) What do you know about cloud computing?

6) What qualities do you think a good leader should have.?
That\'s it.These were my interview questions. I explained each and every question clearly and I was short-listed for the final HR Round.

My HR Round Questions:

1) Mr.Preetham, Do you think we are over dependant on Technology ?

2) What do you do in your free time?

3) What is your family background?

That\'s All. This is my whole interview experience and I\'m proud to say that I got placed in TCS and even received my offer letter.
