Hello everyone, I am sharing my TCS interview experience. We had a pool campussing by TCS at the main college of our group of colleges, over 4 days, 3-6 September.
On the 3rd of September, we had our aptitude test. Close to 3000 students overall, 244 from our college had appeared for the test. This year the paper was a decent one, in terms of standards, following the samples, it was quite a standard paper. Problems were set from topics like time and distance, time and work, number theory, a few sums on geometry, so follow the Open Seesame pattern. It was 80 minute test, 30 questions including 2 star marked questions.
The results came out at 9 P.M and 184 from our college got through for the interview on the 5th. Luckily I was one of 31 from our department.
The Interview generally consists of 2 parts, HR round and Technical Round. My interview started at about 5:15 PM and went on till about 6 PM, and there was only one round, HR and tech were taken together. I was asked questions from OOPs, RDBMS, Networking and a few SQL queries and C programs. The important thing was to be calm and confident. Also answer honestly, as they want that. Project is very important. Prepare the summer training project pretty well. Those who have done projects on Java or J2ee, study JDBC well.
RDBMS is very important as well. Study it very well.
Results were declared on the morning of 7th and I was selected.
Don\'t worry, just stay calm during the interview, prepare well for the aptitude test, there are lots of study materials available on the internet, Indiabix.com.
Best of Luck to all.
