TCS Interview Experience - Kolkata ITSEZ Rajarhat, March 13, 2015
I am from ECE department, I tried my best to learn my subjects. And I have a very much depth of C and fundamental of Java. But not in other subject that was Microprocessor so I got near about 15 days more to studied about those subjects. I learn many thing from internet about microprocessor including many about assembly Language programming, ALU, Register, why they do, how they do. Difference between each and every component. Memory interfaces.
Just gather huge knowledge about training, my projects. I have did a number of 4 big projects in my life. Basically I forget when I took a long sleep in last month. However I am quite efficient with my communication. Approach too. It was perhaps my dream company as its enormous reputation, and it was providing a package about 3.5 LPA. BUT I JUST HATE TCS at right now.
This is not any offensive view. I am sharing my pure experience with you guys. All the best who have got job there. But warn interviewer that if it's going on then you are changing the education system towards a Bad path. Basically I don't believe in "luck but getting job in TCS is just luck.
As much as I know a normal interview they take near about 30 to 50 mins. They actually ask
After a hard work what happened with me, please take a look.
I entered that room. Wish them. They too.
1. Tell me about yourself. done. - 1 mins
2. Ask did you learn C, and Java in your own enthusiasm. Yes. - 1 mins
3. Write a C program, Prime number - 3 mins [I was very happy]
4. Tell me about diff. b/w Structure and Union. - 4 min
told. But they are not happy. They ask me to explain Union function. Which is owner of compiler actually defined in it. [are they made, may it's unknown for a IT student too]
5. Ask me to describe pointers of array - 2 min
Told. Not Happy.
6. From Microprocessor, Tell me the pin number of INTA. [now that's the level of question, as poor as they are]
I told. Sir I knew it but at that moment I forget it 30 sec. [In that situation that quite natural]
So they think they can measure someone's labor. Personality. Capabilities within 10 mins and expect within 10 min asked every question must be answered.
Nothing about JAVA. Projects, Training, Managerial questions. Co curriculum activities, Actually they were in nasty hurry. There are 10 interviewer's benches. Students 300. Time one day.
Unfortunately not selected.
Today I realized about TCS. They have recently sacked 25,000. I realize they actually cruel. They don't respect someones hard work labor too. But it is not hiked as they recruiting a lot. They force employees to work beyond 14 hrs. Because they know there are thousands of aspirants ready to work for them.
Any way all the best. For who got job in this company. Do well leave well. Each and every employee carrying fake smile over there. Oiling your boss is must thing in TCS. As much as you can do that. Today I realize that what is Corporate world it's really frustrating. So you might be away from the part of payoff, whatever you can able or unable to do work.
Always know "A Honest Looser have much more experience then a winner". Thank you for reading it.
