Hello friends,

I would like to share my TCS interview experience which I had given on 28th Feb 2015 at Greater Noida.

TCS interview process has 4 rounds:

1) Aptitude.
2) Technical.
3) Managerial.
4) HR.

I had cleared the Aptitude on 20th Feb 2015, I had received the selection mail on 24th Feb and was called for the interview on 28th.

I reached the venue at 9 am and the process started at 10:30 am.

There were 5 panels for the TR round and in 1 of the panels both MR and TR rounds were conducted at the same time. Luckily I was selected for that panel only. You\'ll get to know the reason why I said LUCKY.

I entered the room.

ME: Sir may I come in?
SIR: yes yes sure. Come in. Take a seat.

I sat down and smiled.

SIR: So you are Rahul Kohli.
ME: Yes sir.

SIR: So Rahul, tell me something about yourself.
ME: Told.

SIR: Rahul, You look different from your pic which is on the application form.
ME: I smiled and said sir I got clean shaved last night for the interview so I am looking different and also I have kept a sober hairstyle.

SIR: Smile. So Rahul, are you from Delhi?
ME: Yes sir. Born and brought up in Delhi.

SIR: So Rahul you have written in your CV that you are a team player and attributes of team leader as well so please share a few instances.
ME: I told him that about a fake story which was really convincing and even said in a kidding way that "Sir you forgot I am a quick learner as well".

SIR: Smiled and said so Rahul what is the difference between C and C++.
ME: (I was thinking what simple question I was expecting something really difficult as I am an average student and less technical knowledge) I told him something really important about C and C++.

SIR: Shall I ask you to write a C program.
ME: Smiled and said, Sir I would be really blunt but I am not that good in programming as I am not good in C as I could not revise C completely in only 3 days after when I received the interview date. So I am not that good in it at this time.

SIR: I like that honesty. But tell me why should we select you in TCS.
ME: Sir, I am greedy to learn and implement my knowledge, I don\'t like cramping things and implementing them I like applying logic.

SIR: Why TCS.
ME: Sir, I received the answer to this question day before yesterday only and would like to share an instance with you.

I had gone to a cyber cafe to get the copy of the mail that I had received from TCS and there I got my answer.

I am just a fresher but I met a employee of TCS and he saw my print out and started telling me the good points about this company and at the same time where I told people that I am going for TCS interview everybody was awestruck and excited and wanted me to crack it as they know that TCS is a brand and INDIA\'s leading IT firm and the Facts and figures of last financial year clear the story.

SIR: Rahul, you have an impressive personality but what why do you think you can be a team leader.
ME: Sir, I think, I can become a team leader because I have the power to motivate and negatively motivate people so I can use this with my team members and I\'ll be of yeomen service.

SIR: OK. Are you ready to relocate? are you ready to leave Delhi?
ME: Of course sir, anything for TCS.

SIR: Which language is better C or C++.
ME: Sir, C is better that C++ because the run time speed of C is more than C++ and the coding of C++ is easy so that is why I guess easy things are not good . Even the gold is purified by heating so we have to use brains to get better results.

SIR: Give me an example of C++ in daily life.
ME: Sir, C++ is an object oriented language, so Objects are a part of Classes. So if I say that Honda is class and the various models are different object of that class. And the car has 5 gears and 5 seats, one steering are the features of it.

Another example that I would like to give is the example of a socket board. Where we can only see the switches and not the internal circuit behind it which is because of abstraction.

SIR: Rahul Kohli, you hitting sixes on every ball just like virat kohli. Is he your cousin?(IMPRESSED BY ME)
ME: No sir, he is not my cousin but yes sir he is INDIA\'s best cricketer just like TCS is India\'s best Company.

SIR: Laughing. You are really smart at answering Rahul. That\'s what a company looks for.
ME: Thank you, I take it as a compliment.

SIR: well, it is a compliment. So what is a Diode.
ME: Told.

SIR: Who do you have in your family?
ME: Told.

SIR: Alright Rahul, it was really good to talk to you.
ME: Same here sir, it was pleasure to have an interviewer like you.

I LEFT THE ROOM.

My TR+MR interview was almost 35 mins and only 3 TR questions. That\'s luck.

The bad part was I had finished my TR+MR at 11:30 am and had been called for the HR at 7:30 pm.

HR Interview:

Mam: Come in.

- Tell me why do you why TCS?

- How was your day today?

- Do you know about the Bond.

- Any problem if you get relocated?

- Where do you see yourself in next 5 years.

- Are your marks exact as your offer letter may get cancelled if your marks are wrong?

- We\'ll get your Back ground checked.

- You\'ll have to join before 31 st march. Are you OK with this?

- Thanks Rahul. You can leave for the day.

I would want you to be confident as I think they look for confidence and communication skills.

The way you talk, walk, dress up, you answer things.

I received my call letter on 4th March 2015. And now I am really happy to have my first job.
