Tata Consultancy Services Interview Experience - New delhi, 10th Sep 2014
It was a 90 minutes test, having two sections i.e.verbal analysis and aptitude test.
10 minutes for verbal part and 80 minutes for 30 questions in the aptitude section.
In this round 258 candidates got through for the f2f interview (technical/hr) on the following day.
To interview so many on a single day is itself a mammoth task, so we have to wait long for our turns. Started 9 am in morning, my turn came 6 pm in evening. Exhausted by waiting and anxiety to face the first interview of my life.
It was a technical+managerial interview, so there were 2 people in the panel. Questions asked include: 1. Do you know how to write programs in C or C++? told.
2. Write a program to print all the odd numbers between 1 to 50. Told.
3. Write a program to find whether a given year is leap year or not. Half told.
4. Tell me about the projects you have untaken till now. ? told.
5. Why TCS. ? expected questions, readily answered.
6. What questions have you expected, will be asked from you. Tricky but kept my cool n told.
7. OK thankyou, please wait outside till we get back to you.
My name for the HR Round was called out. Questions:1. Which profiles would you like to work in. ? this question proved the villain, which snatched my job that day (according to me) - I said mam ' the profile that can provide time for my personal growth and constructive work environment', this offended her.
2. Your hobbies.
3. We will make you work 14 hours a day and every pvt company will do that. So, if you can't work for so long hours, you are at a wrong place because you are not going to get your 'ME' time.
Ultimately names of placed people were announced and my name was not there. : (. Whole effort in vain. In total 147 were selected.
So I will advise all the aspirants to develop an adjustable attitude for interviews and don't say things which can offend their egos. You can easily get through.
Best of luck.
