Tata Consultancy Services Interview Experience - Patiala, November 17, 2010
I am Isha Gupta an ME student in ECE from Thapar University, Patiala. On 17th November, 2014 TCS came to our college. It has following eligibility criteria.
1. Minimum 60% marks throughout starting from class tenth.
2. A person having minimum 75% starting from class tenth will have only online verbal ability test (E-mail).
3. Or you should be amongst top five from the whole ECE department i.e. combined from UG and PG.
I was lying in category 1. Test followed two sections.
1. Online verbal ability test (email writing) comprising of 10 minutes.
2. Online aptitude test comprising of 80 minutes.
Guys I will prefer you to do all previous year question papers of TCS from campusgate and m4maths more than enough. To be honest if you are not able to understand the question just crame its answer. In my written exam almost 10 questions were same and rest 20 questions are of similar pattern. Almost 232/350 students were cleared from the written exam and I was one of them.
Then comes the interview which has 3 sections.
1. Technical Interview.
Being from an ECE background the person asked me some questions related to my core and some of them were from C language. You need some what preparation for this round.
Each round is an elimination round, other one is M.R its very easy to crack just be confident to whatever you speak. It has same basic questions as Tell me about yourself, Why TCS, Why should I hire you and stuff like that.
Third round is the last round just a formality in which they ask are you ready to work in shifts, relocation and stuff like that all answer is yes.
Finally the result was announced and from 232,99 were selected and I was one of them.
Its not difficult to crack TCS just need some commitment towards your goal and if you are not able to crack it just don't get disheartened because always remember there's always another option which is much better for you.
All the best.
