Tata Consultancy Services Interview Experience - Coimbatore, September 17, 2014
I am Aiswarya Uday from Amrita School of Arts and Sciences, Kochi campus.
TCS Recruitment procedure comprises of:
1. Online Aptitude + Verbal test.
2. Technical + HR Interview.
1. ONLINE TEST:
1. Email Writing (10 minutes) - I have been asked to write an email to the manager Ahmed of Smart Automotive Company about the poor quality service centers available in my city. And sign it off as Chopra.
In this section some keywords will be given like poor quality - cost - delivery time- pending problems - increase customer satisfaction etc.
Minimum 70 words are required. And, I wrote 98 words. Don't exceed 100 words in writing the E-mail.
First of all write a subject for the email. Then write the content like.
Dear Mr. Ahmed,
(elaborate the key words given).
Students who are having above 75% in 10th, +2 and 85%in current degree need not attend this section. They have only verbal test (Direct interview). So I did only the verbal test.
You can refer TCS mock test papers to crack this section. There was negative marking. So try not to guess the answers.
1. Work and time,
3. Time and Distance.
6. A. P, G. P.
After that the results were out. From 1800 students, 1495 were shortlisted. I was 1 among them.
I had only 15 mins interview. Most of them were simple HR questions. 3 were there in my panel. They were very friendly.
Questions were like,
- How you doing today?
- Why I chose amrita?
- You are having exceptional marks so don't you have any extra curricular activities?
- What will you do if you are posted in a different job which you don't know?
- How do you know tamil?
- About my family.
- Will you relocate? etc.
I answered all the questions confidently and there was a smile on my face.
They asked about my mini project and about agile as a part of technical questions.
After a day the results were out and 1165 were selected and I am one of them.
So all the best and see you at TCS.
