Tata Consultancy Services Interview Experience - Visakhapatnam, September 10, 2014.
I attended TCS Campus Interview held at my college. When you qualify the written aptitude test, (of course the guys having cgpa above cutoff may not write the test) there will be 3 rounds of interview.
Firstly, the Technical Round (TR) , where he asks everything about the project you have undertaken, the training programmes and test proficiency in C, C++. He asked me to write a program in C++, using the concept of Inheritance. Although I was done with it partially, he was satisfied and asked few more general questions and that's it.
Secondly, the Managerial Round (MR) , where he keenly observed my resume and asked what are your strengths and weakness. He gone through hobbies, career objective etc. Finally, he asked me a question, " I will give you 4 pills, all are of same size, same shape, same colour looks alike. In those 4, 2 are sweet and 2 are sour. You should any 2 of them such that in those 2, 1 should be sweet and 1 should be sour". I failed to give the answer, and he asked any GRE plans for future? I said no, he asked for reasons and gave an explanation where he was not convinced and he told me to wait for HR interview.
Lastly, the Human Resource (HR) interview, where she asked what are the fields TCS is working on. I gave few fields what I filled in Application procedure, but she asked for more. Next, she asked recently TCS is in news, what's the reason. I told Narendra Modi's visit to TCS, Japan. She was not satisfied with my answer and was expecting the rise of share market value of TCS. Finally, she told me that I will give you a sentence and you should talk about it for a minute. The sentence was "Birds are flying upside down". I managed to talk for a minute, but after the results were out, I realized that I couldn't satisfy her with my speech as I was rejected.
