TATA Consultancy Services Interview Experience - Hyderabad, September 1, 2014
The test is of 90 minutes. It consists of verbal ability and aptitude test.
The verbal ability is for 10 minutes in which we need to type an email based on given situation and some keywords are given which are to be used in the email.
Just use the key words in the given order and you will get through.
Be careful that you should type a minimum of 50 words.
The aptitude test is of 80 minutes having 30 questions in which 2 are starred questions carrying more marks. this can be easily cracked by referring online mock tests in many web sites and also through book written by RS Aggarwal.
Luckily I got through the test.
This round is a tricky one. They don't ask completely technical. They test our general knowledge, communication skills and also body language.
For me it was for one hour.
Be careful while telling about your hobbies. Don't just say some thing.
For us the interviewers were given laptops where they GOOGLE every thing.
When I said playing cricket was my hobby, they asked about flipper, who invented doosra, teesra etc.
They focused on my academic project, tell me about yourself.
Be careful while building your resume, they didn't even check my certificates, through out the hour they asked questions from my resume.
Any ways I got through this round also.
This round was for 15 minutes. They asked stress questions such as why do u want to enter into IT (basically I am from EIE), then why did you take EIE, if you get a job are you concerned about the location etc.
Don't even slip a word from your mouth unless required. They will trap you in that and make questions out of it.
I told that I am planning to do a java course and they trapped me there. They asked that if you didn't get time in the previous 3 years of Engineering to do java how come you think that in the last year of engineering you will get time to do java. They repeated the question almost 4 times.
I thought I din't get through but to my luck I got through and got a job.
So that was my experience.
All the best every one!!!
