I have been placed in TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES AND let me take this opportunity to thank this wonderful group..which helpd me a loooooot..
 
let me give u my interview experience....
 
My written test was over on august 28th and we were called for interview on september 3rd
 
First i had a Technical Round...
It was for half an hour(almost) ..i was asked questions from C, C++, SQL, Java, etc...
first i was asked regarding my project..why i chose that project...difference between other prject and mine etc..
 
then i was asked to write a program to swap two integers without using intermediate variable. then C++ concepts..polymorphism, abstract classes, etc..
then other guy asked me cobol questions...then started dbms...started with denormalisation...i was not asked normalisation...dml and ddl statemetns, a few queries...then deadlock concepts, bankers algorithm..

It was slightly gruelling but it was easy...be prepared and it shud be a cakewalk.. .if u r not prepared then get ready to be eliminated..
 
then we had HR Round..it was not an elimination.. just some basic questions... tell me abt urself...strenths blah..blah..blah...
 
then there was mr round....here it was a mixture of technincal and hr questions.
 
I did very well in all the rounds..and im happy that im placed in the best firm in the country...
