I think the answer should be C.
In option D, the mid square shows it's mirror image, not the water image.

It is not necessary to turn back side we have to turn the paper to opposite direction of paper after writing the image or word.

The correct answer is C.
When you are going to see inverted image of the object in water then the correct image comes out which is C.
You have to inverted the image and then invert the image of answer C again on image,

Friends a very easy solution.
At exam center any way we are provided with A4 sheets. So, take a small piece of paper, write the given word on it.
Press the letters thickly with pen. So, that you can get shade of word on back side of paper.
Now, make the paper upside down. Keeping it same turn the paper towards back. Now you will find mirror image. If image is not clear for you then, write on the back side shade.
