Well, the technique is to visualize how it would look when mirrored, it be on the x-axis or the y-axis (horizontally or vertically). Horizontally you can imagine the image lying just below water, and imagine how it would look in the water. Vertically, the same thing, usually I just picture a mirror held against it. You can imagine a part of the object you have to mirror (for example if a triangle is a part of the object in this case) that is the closest to the axis you reflect it upon, but just inverted. Just flip it around in your mind. Upside down. Then continue with the rest of the figure. You can also just use your mobile phone to reflect either axis just to check, or cheat.
