Directions to Solve

Each of the following questions consists of five figures marked A, B, C, D and E called the Problem Figures followed by five other figures marked 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 called the Answer Figures. Select a figure from amongst the Answer Figures which will continue the same series as established by the five Problem Figures.

Answer: Option
Explanation:
Both the larger and the smaller squares move to the adjacent corner ACW in each turn. Also, the shading in the smaller square moves 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ... steps ACW sequentially and the shading in the larger square moves 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,.... steps CW sequentially.

It is simple. It denotes the direction of rotation.

CW - Clockwise
ACW - Anti-Clockwise

From which point does it moves.

The shading of the smaller square is moving in steps of 1,2,3,4,5,..in ACW. In the big square shanding is moving in steps of 1,2,3,4,5,... in CW

You will see that square has divided into 8 parts .. if we observe in small square shading parts is move one position ACW.

Similarly in the big square it moving in CW.

1.(two child above boxes/two child below boxes) of sequence mater boxes are same.

2.and in each boxes one box shadow is mirror image of second one around /.

Now according to sequence match the master box with (E)box that
above two requirement are full fill which is 1. box.

About the shades.

Square moves 2 at figure C.
Square moves 3 at figure D.

Small box.

Shade in 1st bx moves to next position in 2nd box in acw (no gap).
Shade in 2nd box moves to next 2 next position in 3rd box box in acw (1gap).
Shade in 3rd bx moves after 2 position in 4th box in acw (2gap).
Shade in 4th bx moves after 3 position in 5th box in acw (3gap).
Similarly for larger boxes in cw.

So next position must be after 4 position (4 gap).
