Explanation:
The number of edges increases by "1 " in each figure.
1. Figure "A" has 3 edges & 3 divisions.
2. Figure "B" has 4 edges & 4 divisions.
3. Figure "C" has 5 edges & 5 divisions.
4. Figure "D" has 6 edges & 6 divisions.
5. Figure "E" has 7 edges & 7 divisions.
Therefore the next figure should have"8" edges & 8 division.
-The figure "5" in the answer column has 8 edges & division.
Hence "E" is the correct answer.

The no of sides increasing by one simultaneously with the no of parts.
Figure A----> 3 sides, 3 parts.
B----> 4 sides, 4 parts.
---------------------.
E-----> 7 sides, 7 parts.
So Answer is 5th one having 8 sides and 8 parts.

It is not related to the number of Lines,
It depends on the Number of Parts of the Figures.
It increases as the series proceeds.
So correct Answer is (E)5.

I think it is related to no of lines in the polygon. In that view also both (E, 3) having same 12 lines. So answer may be 'c'.

It seems @Aniket is right.
The option E has 8 corners and 8 empty boxes. None of them has this option.

Why can't the answer be the 1st option as the number of sides also increases in the question by one?
