Directions to Solve

Each of the following questions consists of five figures marked A, B, C, D and E called the Problem Figures followed by five other figures marked 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 called the Answer Figures. Select a figure from amongst the Answer Figures which will continue the same series as established by the five Problem Figures.

How is it assuming those curves are moving ACW (Anti-Clockwise)? Like CW (Clockwise) rotation is shorter for them.

Step 1 : Look at Figure (A). take it as a Base position.
Step 2 : Check Figure (B). only one curve is changed (top one)
Step 3 : Check Figure (C). Here, two curves are changed (compare the figure with the previous figure, like now our base figure is Figure (B))
Step 4 : Check Figure (D). Here, three curves have rotated if we compare it with Figure (C)
So, every time there is 1+ change. Also, every time our Base figure is the previous one.

Step 5 : Check Figure (E); here is only one change from the previous base figure. But we expected 4 changes this time, but this time we got only 1, like Figure (B)! So, that means we are in a loop! Now we need only 2 changes in the next figure.

Now we have 3 options! Option 1, 4 and 5.
