Simple technique just take the mirror image taking dotted line as center.

Take a paper and draw the figure with a blue ball pen and draw the lines very dark (I mean over right the pen on the line only) then fold the paper, press it tightly then open it you will see the result.

Yes you are right the position of upper point of second line remain same but lower will change from right to left.

Pretty simple way here. Just look that the original one shouldn't change.
So, in 1 the placement of original changed
in 2 the direction changed
in 3 the placement changed
in 4 the original one remained there.

I think you are wrong. If the diagonals inside the two rectangles are in different direction then a cross symbol comes but it does not comes when they are parallel.

Why your get confuse. Just you want to fold the paper in opposite then just draw the diagonal line in opposite direction&it gives the answer.
