None but D is the correct answer because of inner rectangle hexagon will turn into an octagon.

I am 110% sure it's D because it gets cut as a rectangle becoming an octagon.

You both are correct.

The given diagram (X) has 6 sides(hexagon). After cutting, 6 sides become 8 sides and 4 holes become 6 holes.

Correction Option is D (it has 8 sides, 6 holes)
