I think the answer should be 2. Part folded in figure x should also have 2 holes on each side.

@All.

when you make a hole on the centre (top right) its obvious that 4 holes will be made on four of its symmetry.

And for the remaining hole as before 4 holes are make on all 4 side. And extra two on bottom of the extra fold.
So the and is 3.
Basically try to solve what will it be if its a square and add the logic of remaining part.
