Normally this procedure has follow the 2-1-2.
First place the 2nd fig then you have to place the 1st fig inside the 2nd fig and put the 2nd fig into inside the previous fig.

In each row, the 3rd figure is obtained by drawing the first middle then first then again middle.
Eg:
In first row, the 3rd figure is Circle + Square+again Circle.
Follow the same rule you will get option 4 as the answer.
Eg:

1st row : take middle column circle first, put first column square inside and again put the middle column circle inside.
2nd row : follow same pattern. Middle column square, then first column triangle, and then again the middle column square.
3rd row : same pattern. Middle column, first column, and again middle column. Put each inside the other.
