The explained logic is very imprecise. A much more precise logic would be that the figure to the left is the figure to the right with a copy of the image to the right rotated 90 degrees laid on top". Thus, Option B seems to me like a better alternative than Option C.

My logic figured that to complete the first figure you have to make the inverse of the 2nd figure. So the inverse of X makes a square.
