None of the box contains rectangle inside. It has to be "+" sign instead of rectangle in option D. This way option D is different from other options.

You could argue that Fig. 2 is different because it is the only one with a single symbol at the top rather than the bottom.

My answer is about option 2(b) because all the other have 2 first two columns with 4 pics but the 2(b) has only 3.

It also seems like it is B. Why because the first, third, fourth and fifth picture the first row has two so as the second one and the third has one. For the second one, it goes with the first one having one and the other two having two.

D is the correct answer because the + symbol is not there in D option.
