Directions to Solve
Each of the following questions consists of two sets of figures. Figures A, B, C and D constitute the Problem Set while figures 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 constitute the Answer Set. There is a definite relationship between figures A and B. Establish a similar relationship between figures C and D by selecting a suitable figure from the Answer Set that would replace the question mark (?) in fig. (D).
1.
Select a suitable figure from the Answer Figures that would replace the question mark (?).
Problem Figures: Answer Figures:

(A) (B) (C) (D) (1) (2) (3) (4) (5)
Answer: Option

The answer is A because on E the rhombus only ROTATES 45*CW. On D, the shape surrounding the rhombus has too many sides. On B, it's obvious the there is a different shape in the middle. On C, you can't have an equal amount of sides in each shape on this figure. This leaves A, ROTATING 90*CW, having one less amount of sides on the shape surrounding, and the shape on the third figure shrinking. Hope this helps settle that the answer is not E.

A is correct because the figure remains the same after rotating 90° CW. Had it been rotated by 45°CW, then only the figure would have been square.

Answer should be 5 as per the explanation given.
The rotation of the figure happens before enclosing inside a figure with a side lesser.
The rotation of the figure happens before enclosing inside a figure with a side lesser.

The Correct answer is (A) because in the second picture the size rotates and decreases.
