I don't think A is the correct answer. Neither do I have the best option among the options. Penicillins inhibit cell wall synthesis by inhibiting the cross-linking of peptidoglycans. Quinolones, on the other hand, target DNA gyrase. They are both bactericidal, this would have been the best option if it was included.
