How it could be IgM? |

During B cell maturation, gene segments responsible for Ig production get rearranged to form functional genes. Antibody production solely depends on such VDJ rearrangements, and the CH gene segments are sequentially arranged as Cmu, Cdelta, Cgamma, Cepsilon, Calpha, thereby giving an initial IgM response for Cmu. |
