Brass and bronze is welded by oxidising flame.

Neutral flame: This flame has equal quantity of both oxygen and acetylene. This is used for welding steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals like copper, aluminium. This flame is used in cutting operation also.

OXIDISING FLAME:it is used for welding copper, brass and bronze.
CARBURISING& REDUCING FLAME:it is mainly used for alloy steels.
