Because gravity force is applied in same to in the direction of horizontal.

@Pandey ji, Gravity force will be equal in vertical axis shapes not in horizontal.

To be accomodate gravity force we have use horizontal axis in centrifugal casting.

Vertical centrifugal casting requires 1500 times gravitational force. It's not affordable so we can't use.

Casting machines may be either horizontal or vertical axis. Horizontal axis machines are preferred for long, thin cylinders, vertical machines for rings.
