Permanent mould casting- pistons, stators, gear boxes, connecting rods, aircraft fittings, cylinder blocks.

Slush casting- Toys and ornaments especially to produce hollow castings. Developed by William Britain to produce lead toy soldiers.

Die casting- carburettors, crank cases, magnetos, handle-bar housings, zip fasteners, head lamp bezels and other decorative items on automobiles.

Centrifugal casting- axisymmetric objects like pipes.

Slush casting: It is special casting process in which the liquid molten metal is poured into casting cavity in open condition, allow it to solidify for some time and immediately invert the mold so that unsolidified molten metal is falling down by leaving the solidified metal inside the mold.
