Atomic weight of hydrogen is 1 and oxy is 16.

The molar mass of O2 = 2*16 = 32
The molar mass of H2 = 2*1 = 2

As w.k.t. atomic mass of both oxygen and hydrogen is 16 and 1 respectively, Hence
ratio of their masses = 32/2 = 16.

Atomic mass of H = 1,

Atomic mass of O =16.

So, the ratio of the atomic mass of both is 16. Oxygen atom 16 times heavier than hydrogen atom.

O+O =O2.

16+16 =32,
16/2 + 16/2 = 32/2,
8+8=16.

Mass of hydrogen is 1.

Mass of oxygen I is 16.

So sixteen times.

Why molecular mass is being calculated here?

When it is clearly been asked about ATOMS not MOLECULES. I think it should be 8.
