Because from refining of petroleum only all the other fuels are derived.

What of hydrogen? which can be made using solar energy?

Om sharma said:   1 decade ago
That is true because all liquid fuels are appear from crude oil.

All the commercial fuel are extracted from petroleum based materials.

There are some other fuels other than the derivatives of petroleum products such as methane(cal.value 55,530kj/kg).

Paraffin (46,000kj/kg).

Butane 49,510.

Ethanol 29,700 etc.

Can be used. Alcohol, 96% can be used as commercial fuel.

All commercial fuels like petrol, diesel etc are extracted from petroleum(crude oil).

In nature crude oil is in impure form after refining it we get pure oil such as diesel.

Crude oil or petroleum is also a fossil fuel which derived all fuels.

By refining the crude oil at different temperature ranges we can obtain various commercial fluids.

We are all know that petrol is coming crude oil by the process of petrol refining. In that process we get many commercial fluids like kerosene, diesel, grease etc. So we conclude that all commercial fluids are coming from crude oil.
