pv^n = c is called polytropic process. When n=1 is called isothermal process because according to perfect gas equation PV = RT where R is universal gas constant. PV = C means T is constant when the temperature is constant is called isothermal process.

Yes it is true that, PV=c is hyperbolic process but in other hand hyperbolic process is governed by Boyls law.

Boyles law state that p is inversely proportional to we and temperature remain constant.

pv^n=c, here put n=1, the process will be constant temp process, temp = constant, also known as isothermal process.

pv = c it is a hyperbolic process, when T= constant, then is known as the Isothermal process.

The process is known as isotropic process, in my perception.

If n=1
The process may be;
1. Isothermal.
2. Hyperbolic.

If n=0 then P=C this will be an isoberic process.

If we put n as 0 then which process will it be?

@Kajal Patil.

Agree with you, Thanks.
