(Y-n)/(Y-1)xword done ...... 1.
Work done for polytropic process = (p1v1-p2v2)/(n-1) ......... 2.

From 1 and 2 equation,
(Y-n)/(Y-1)x(p1v1-p2v2)/(n-1) ...... 3.

PV = MRT....4 R and M is constant so put the value in education 3and get,
(Y-n)/(Y-1) x MR(T1-T2)/(n-1).

Work Done(W) in Polytropic process = (p1v1-p2v2)/(n-1) = mR(T1-T2)/(N-1).
