It's a definition.

& Q=mCv(T2-T1).

Q=mcv(t2-t1) is the formula of heat transfer. The mass have a limit heat it is observed can it is raise is called specific heat.

The amount of heat required to raise the temperature of the unit mass of gas through one degree is known as Specific heat and they given as Constant pressure. So it is termed as Specific heat at constant pressure.

I think pressure will not be constant at the time of increasing the temperature. So, if the heat per unit mass then it is called specific heat at constant volume.

@Mr. Modi.

No no pressure will be at constant at that time it is known as specific heat at constant pressure. But the thing is cp > cv, cp always more than cv.

When it is heated at a constant volume is called specific heat at constant volume.

When it is heated at a constant pressure is called specific heat at constant pressure.

At dv=o so it is constant volume, when it is heated at this condition called specific heat at constant volume(sealed).

Yes, the amount of heat required to raise the unit Maas temperature through one ° Celsius is called specific heat.

If it performed at constant volume then it known as specific heat at constant volume.
