What?
Probably you are talking of thermodynamics in another universe.
So how can you explain the increase of temperature in a system composed by a certain mass of substance when heat is supplied.
The total energy of the substance remains constant?

It's for an isolated system. The total energy of the universe remains constant. Universe = system + surrounding. It's not necessary that energy of the system has to be constant. Because heat and work are boundary phenomenon.

The first law of thermodynamics states that total energy of universe remain constant. If we take any particular system than there may be change in total energy of system in case of irreversible process.

Thermodynamics first low state that Energy can be neither created nor destroyed, if can only changes forms any process in an isolated system, the total energy remains the same.

These questions have not been written out properly. I was so confused that I got the answer wrong. This answer is only true for an isolated system like the universe.

First law is state that the law of conservation of energy. Energy can neither be created nor be destroyed but only converted one for to another form.
